P Zero Corsa System is Pirelli’s track and competition tire that can be used on the streets. It’s a good pick for combined driving lovers. It has an impressive and aggressive look. Yet, its priority is racing. You will be disappointed if you buy it only for appearance. This tire is an original equipment tire of Ferrari 360 Challenge, Lamborghini Gallardo, and Porsche GT2 & GT3. Let’s dig into it!

As a former Bridgestone engineer, from my standpoint, P Zero Corsa System has amazing dry traction capability and sticky compounds. However, you should heat it up for the best performance. As a common feature of competition tires, it has zero wet and winter traction. If you want to use them on the streets, you should bear on road noise and relatively firm driving. Moreover, even though it offers decent tread life for tracking, its street drive tread life is poor as hell! Though worth reminding, P Zero Corsa System has two different tread patterns for the rear and steer axle.
Rear: Pirelli P Zero Corsa Asimmetrico 2
Steer: Pirelli P Zero Direzionale

Dry Performance
Dry performance can be evaluated under two different dimensions. Dry traction and handling. Let’s evaluate them one by one.
Dry Traction
Due to its asymmetric design and sticky rubber, its gripping ability is unquestionable. Moreover, highly flexible steel belts provide great steering stability. In my point of view, it’s unbeatable in its segment.
Handling
Due to its low void ratio, this tire has provides have alpha plus contact patch design for reliable handling. Moreover, its robust shoulders offer huge durability and that improves your cornering stability significantly.
Pirelli P Zero Corsa System has phenomenal handling ability.
Wet Performance
This tire isn’t capable to handle wet grounds. That’s only because of low hydroplaning resistance. Even Pirelli doesn’t recommend using it on rainy days.
Note: Hydroplaning is vital for a safe ride under the pouring rain. However, it might occur even with the best tire. Maybe you can’t prevent it but if you know what it is and how to deal with it, you can easily stay on the safe side.
Here is an extremely efficient guide about ‘How to Deal with Hydroplaning?‘ –> https://www.discounttire.com/learn/hydroplaning
Winter Performance
Not suitable for winter. Moreover, you should store them over 32 degrees F.
Comfort
Due to its low void ratios, it offers a comfortable ride. Though worth reminding, this is a competition tire. If you’ll use it on the streets, you’ll feel every stone on the road!
Road Noise
In my point of view, road noise isn’t a big issue for track tires. These tires focus on performance. So, comfort and noise reduction aren’t their priority.
As expected, Pirelli uses thin sidewalls to prevent overheating. So, that causes the road noise while cornering at high velocity.
Pirelli P Zero Corsa System is a noisy tire.
A side note here: Even though some tires tend to make noise because of their tread patterns, it’s still possible to keep your tire noise down.
I’m leaving a perfect explanation below from DiscountTire for those who need it;
How to Keep Tire Noise Down? –>

Tread Life
I strongly urge potential buyers to look at the UTQG. This tire has 60 UTQG which is extremely low even for track tires. Yet, that means this tire is sticky as hell. Though worth reminding, for street usage, it’s rubbish.
Getting maximum wear life from a tire is related to you as well as your tire, If you’d like to learn how to get maximum tread life:
Warranty
Pirelli doesn’t offer any tread life warranty for this product. As expected…

Conclusion
Pirelli P Zero Corsa System is a decent tire for track and competition. However, there are 3 different versions of the Corsa System available. So, you should be careful while making your selection.
P Zero Corsa Direzionale: Tires mold Pirelli’s innovative racing tread compound into a semi-slick, V-shaped directional tread design. It’s a good selection if you drive on rainy days from time to time.
P Zero Corsa Asimmetrico: Tread design features a semi-slick, low void ratio and a large external shoulder structure with a minimum number of grooves to eliminate the blocky structure of a conventional pattern. Though worth reminding, you should buy different tires for the left and right wheels.
P Zero Corsa Asimmetrico 2: The tread design is inspired by Pirelli’s P Zero Max Performance Summer tire and features a semi-slick, low void ratio and a large external shoulder structure. This one has better water evacuation capability than Asmmetrico.

Take-Home Points,
- XL sizes tend to carry more load and offer better handling. Hence, they might be a better pick for bigger vehicles( XL vs SL tires)
- Please pay attention to the load index and speed index. These metrics are essential if you expect decent tread life
- There isn’t a bad tire in the market right now, you should just know what to expect from tires
