Highway tires are specifically designed with a focus on long tread life and providing a smooth, quiet ride. In my experience, since they have the least aggressive tread pattern within the all-terrain tire category, their off-road traction capability is the weakest.
However, thanks to their durability and cut-and-chipping resistance, they handle dirt and gravel quite well. It’s also worth noting from what I’ve seen, that they perform decently in light snow conditions. These traits make highway tires a solid choice for those prioritizing longevity and comfort over rugged off-road capabilities.
